Abstract

Mobile phones offer a large range of different communicating applications, e.g. pure voice services, web surfing, video downloads. Most of this traffic does not have real-time delay requirements. By serving all flows under equal delay constraints, transmission resources are used very inefficiently. In this paper, we propose a scheduling framework which allows balancing the diverse application requirements by exploitation of the current users´ context. First results demonstrate the feasibility and flexibility of our approach.
