Abstract
|
The increasing demand for high-speed wireless Internet access has placed today's cell phone networks at the limits of their capacity. Future wireless networks will need to offer a highly increased capacity at reasonable costs. As wireless spectrum is most precious, these networks in particular will need to increase the spectral efficiency. This talk will give an introduction to wireless networks and their problems. Some state-of-the-art techniques to alleviate these problems will be discussed. Finally, this talk will present advanced techniques and algorithms for future wireless networks that will greatly increase their capacity, highlighting applications of graph theory.
