Abstract

This paper evaluates various popular fair queuing service disciplines and trades them off in terms of statistical delay bounds. Moreover, their applicability as a mechanism for bandwidth allocation to flow aggregates is investigated. Finally, the obtained results are compared with FIFO and static priority service discipline to identify operational regions for assigning weights to flow aggregates.
