Abstract

This paper present a method to extract scenarios in which feature interactions may occur from the usually much larger set of topologically different scenarios involving two different service features or two instances of the same service feature. Simple conditions for the identification of such scenarios are given. In three examples involving the service features Call Forwarding, Terminating Call Screening, and Consultation Call, the application of the method is demonstrated. The scenarios identified by this method may serve as a starting point for further investigations, like, e.g., the generation of test cases or the application of formal verification techniques.
